66AD Peter's prophecy:

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:"

2 Peter 3:5-6

The creation and demise of the theory of evolution

1795 James Hutton publishes the doctrine of uniformity in his publication Theory of the Earth
1830 Sir Charles Lyell publishes: The Principles of Geology: Being an Attempt to Explain the Former Changes of the Earth's Surface, by Reference to Causes now in Operation. (i.e. "all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation"). Here Lyell, as Peter prophecied, willingly ignores the flood and assumes that "the present is the key to the past".
1831 Darwin boards the HMS Beagle with his favorite book Lyells Principles of Geology.
1859 Darwin publishes the Origin of the Species by means of natural selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life
1922 Evolutionists present Nebraska man using as their evidence a single tooth. Later, the tooth was found to have come from a pig.
1925 The Scopes Trial: Tennessee vs. John Scopes held in Dayton, Tennessee.
1953 Piltdown man shown to be a fraud by chemical tests. Piltdown man was considered "the fraud of the century".
1961 Creation science revival begins with Morris and Whitcombs publishing the The Genesis Flood
1980 Mount St. Helens erupts and forms a miniature Grand Canyon, proving that geologic formations does not require millions of years, but rather can occur very rapidly, as in less than 24 hours.
1984 Intelligent design movement begins with publication of The Mystery of Life's Origin by Thaxton, Bradley, and Olson.
1986 Professor Michael Denton publishes Evolution: a theory in crisis.
1997 Haeckel's embryos are officially declared fraudulent and proved wrong by M. K. Richardson (Richardson et al. "Haeckel, embryos, and evolution", Science 280: 983-984.)
2003 Dr. John Baumgardner (revered by U.S. News and World Report as the world expert on planetary mantle dynamics) presents devastating evidence showing the physics underlying the Genesis flood. Significant evidence is shown for accelerated nuclear decay rates, showing that radiocarbon dating has been an artifact of uniformitarianist assumptions! Visit GlobalFlood.org for more information.

The LORD consistently throughout Scripture wants to be known and acknowledged as the Creator of all things. Isaac Newton said that "He is want to be called Lord God, Universal Ruler."

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4.11

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh [is] the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth [any] work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant. It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. Exodus 31:15-17

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Job 38:4

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2

The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Psalm 24:1,2

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. Isaiah 45:18

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding. Jeremiah 51:15

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:19-20

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossian 1:16-17

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:1-3

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:5-7

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Revelation 14:6-7

``Men such as Johann Kepler, Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, David Brewster, John Dalton, Michael Faraday, Blaise Pascal, Clerk Maxwell, Louis Pasteur, William Thompson (Lord Kelvin), and a host of others of comparable stature were men who firmly believed in special creation and the personal omnipotent God of creation, as well as believing in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Their great contributions in science--indeed, in laying the very foundations of modern science--were made in implicit confidence that they were merely `thinking God's thoughts after Him,' and that they were doing His will and glorifying His name in so doing. They certainly entertained no thoughts of conflict between science and the Bible.
Fruitful scientific research almost demands a Biblical world view, either consciously or subconsciously, a world view in which like causes produce like effects, where natural phenomena follow fixed and intelligible natural laws, and where we can have confidence that we can think rationally and meaningfully. Such a world presupposes no random chaotic origin but an origin under the control of a great mind and will, an intelligent and volitional First Cause, a great Lawgiver who can enact, implement, and enforce His created laws.''

Henry Morris in The Biblical Basis for Modern Science, 1984.

Evolution is the science of the philosophy of naturalism. Evolution is believed by faith, just as Christianity is. Therefore, one cannot say evolution is science and Biblical creation is not. One must objectively compare the scientific evidence and see if it supports the evolutionary theory or the account of Biblical creation. In every account, we find that science supports Biblical creation.

Every apparent piece of evidence an evolutionist claims supports the theory of evolution has an alternate Biblical explanation or in many cases has shown to be scientific fraud (e.g. Nebraska man, Haeckel's embryos, etc.). On the other hand, many evidences that creationists entirely contradict the theory of evolution.

Evolution has 6 meanings:

  1. Cosmic evolution - big bang, origin of time, space, matter
  2. Chemical evolution - the origin of higher elements from hydrogen
  3. Steller and planetary evolution - origin of stars and planets
  4. Organic evolution - origin of life
  5. Macro-evolution - origin of major kinds of species
  6. Micro-evolution - variation within kinds

The first five types of evolution have NO scientific evidence to support them. Therefore, they are purely religious. The sixth type of evolution, micro-evolution, has scientific basis, and is perfectly consistent with the Bible.

In order to believe in evolution, one must make seven basic assumptions:

The seven assumptions of evolution

  1. Non-living things gave rise to living material
  2. Spontaneous generation could occur only once
  3. Viruses, bacteria, plants, and animals are all interrelated
  4. Protozoa gave rise to multi-cellular organisms
  5. Invertebrates are interrelated
  6. Invertebrates gave rise to vertebrates
  7. All vertebrates are related
From The Implications of Evolution by G.A. Kerkut (British physiologist)

"Note: these are assumptions-not conclusions demanded by the data. The essence of evolution is assumed, then the data are interpreted to fit."

"scientific evidence demands Creation" - Dr. Richard Bliss

EVOLUTION IS A RELIGION

"Evolution is promoted by its practitioners as more than mere science. Evolution is promulgated as an ideology, a secular religion -- a full-fledged alternative to Christianity, with meaning and morality....Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today."
Michael Ruse, Eminent scientific philosopher and Darwinian atheist

``If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.'' --Charles Darwin The Origin of Species (1859)
``To Darwin, the cell was a `black box' -- its inner working were utterly mysterious to him. Now, the black box has been opened up and we know how it works. Applying Darwin's test to the ultra-complex world of molecular machinery and cellular systems that have been discovered over the past 40 years, we can say that Darwin's theory has `absolutely broken down''.' --Michael Behe, biochemist, Darwin's Black Box (1996)
``The current scenario of the origin of life is about as likely as the assemblage of a 747 by a tornado whirling through a junkyard.'' Sir Fred Hoyle, The Intelligent Universe (1983)
``He stated that in his astronomy research, he was merely `thinking God's thoughts after Him.''' Johann Kepler (1571-1630)
``Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) Great Mathematician, father of hydrostatics and a founder of hydrodynamics. Paraphrased: `How can anyone lose who chooses to become a Christian?...If there is a God and a heaven and hell, then he has gained haven and his skeptical friends will have lost everything in hell.''
``We account the Scriptures of God to be the most sublime philosophy. I find more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history whatsoever.'' Isaac Newton (1642-1727)
``Samuel F.B. Morse (1791-1872) Invented the telegraph. The first message sent in 1844 was `What hath God wrought' from Numbers 23:23. He wrote, `The nearer I approach to the end of my pilgrimage, the clearer is the evidence of the divine origin of the Bible, the grandeur and sublimity of God's remedy for fallen man are more appreciated, and the future is illumined with hope and joy.''
``An outlook through this peephole [that manned space flight had opened] at the vast mysteries of the universe should only confirm our belief in the certainty of its Creator. I find it as difficult to understand a scientist who does not acknowledge the presence of a superior rationality behind the existence of the universe as it is to comprehend a theologian who would deny the advances of science.'' Wernher von Braun (1912-77) "One of the world's top space scientists." Head of NASA
``There are two books laid before us to study, to prevent our falling into error; first, the volume of the Scriptures, which reveal the will of God; then the volume of the Creatures, which express His power.'' Francis Bacon, developed the "scientific method"
``This is an exceedingly strange development, unexpected by all but the theologians. They have always accepted the word of the Bible: In the beginning God created heaven and earth. To which St. Augustine added, `Who can understand this mystery or explain it to others?' The development is unexpected because science has had such extraordinary success in tracing the chain of cause and effect backward in time... ``Now we would like to pursue that inquiry farther back in time, but the barrier to further progress seems insurmountable. It is not a matter of another year, another decade of work, another measurement, or another theory; at this moment it seems as though science will never be able to raise the curtain on the mystery of creation. For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.'' Robert Jastrow, God and the Astronomers, London (1992)
``Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it only because the only alternative is special creation and that is unthinkable.'' Sir Arthur Keith, a famous British evolutionist
``Evolution is a scientific fairy-tale just as the `flat-earth theory' was in the 12th century.'' Edward Blick, scientific creationist
"This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being. This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all, and on account of His dominion He is wont to be called Lord God, Universal Ruler." (Newton, 1686).
``A Heavenly Master governs all the world as Sovereign of the universe. We are astonished at Him by reason of His perfection, we honor Him and fall down before Him because of His unlimited power. From blind physical necessity, which is always and everywhere the same, no variety adhering to time and place could evolve, and all variety of created objects which represent order and life in the universe could happen only by the willful reasoning of its original Creator, Whom I call the Lord God.''
Isaac Newton, the Principia (often called the greatest scientific work ever written)
